I received my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Leadership and Management from Walden University and am currently the principal and lead consultant for Malaer Legal Nurse Consulting LLC and mentor for the LegalNurse.com. I also continue the clinical application of my nursing degree as a Survey and Certification Expert for HMS, Case Manager for MKCM National Case Management, COVID-19 Strike Team RN with the Washington County Department of Health and Human Services, National Auditor for the American Correctional Association (ACA), and as a nurse consultant for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities with Malaer Legal Nurse Consulting (MLNC). I have obtained certifications as a Forensic Nurse Specialist (FN-CSp.), Wound Care Nurse (WCC), Life Care Planner (LCP-C), Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP), Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC), and Assisted Living Manager (CALM). Prior to obtaining my RN degree, I obtained my degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and certifications as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA). I hold active RN licenses in Texas, Oregon, Washington, and Florida. I have served as a consulting or testifying expert in over 1,000 cases across the country for both plaintiff and defense.
